The Control Seal Axial Flow Valve has the following characteristics:

SMALL, compact design

OPENING AND CLOSING at FULL DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE

PRESSURE BALANCED PISTON requiring a SMALL ACTUATOR

NON-SLAM operation

BUBBLE TIGHT sealing both upstream or downstream of the valve.

The valve design is BI-DIRECTIONAL allowing flow in both directions.

The design is based on a valve cage with RADIAL HOLES or TANGENTIAL HOLES in combination with a movable piston

Full FLOW / PRESSURE CONTROL

LOWER NOISE levels than conventional valves

 

APPLICATIONS

The Control Seal Axial Flow Valve has the following distinguishing features:

Rotating Stem Design

  • Eccentric disk (camshaft) connected to the rotating stem to move the piston rod practically frictionless, compared to a gear-rack which loses more than 50% of its thrust.

  • Small actuator. Moreover the rotating actuator has a lower stem friction.

  • The rotating stem stuffing box avoids fugitive emissions along the stem.

  • Free choice of valve characteristics (linear, fast closing etc).

Sealing mechanism

  • Bubble tight shut-off to ANSI class VI, independent of actuation method.

  • The sealing consists of two independent mechanisms: a metal-to-metal seal in combination with conventional high pressure O-rings.

  • No erosion impact on the seals. Soft seals not in contact with high flow.

Fire Safe

  • Fire safe according to API 6FA. Internal leakage is avoided by the metal-to-metal seal, whereas external leakage is contained by the graphite containing stuffing box on the rotating stem.

Body design with bonnet allowing faster fabrication and shorter delivery times.
